A true rare find, a triangular bag by Tyrolean New York
Heavily Beaded in sparkling blue Iridescent Carnival Glass Beads
Known as a dense floral pattern
The bag is trimmed with gold tone metal and bonded to a metal frame

DETAILS

Made and sold at high end department stores in the 1950s these bags were known for their unique design and high quality workmanship

Quoted by their own showroom in 1954 "We're creating a new trend in handbag fashion"

Tyrolean Bags are very desirable among fashion accessory and handbag collectors

Features a fold over clasp, with a near pristine interior, there are a few beads missing from the handle, and it appears that someone may have tried to prevent loosing more by adding some glue, however the bag is in excellent condition, especially given age. The strap could be replaced but I do not want to devalue or change it from it's original materials. Carnival Blue Glass Beads could be added as well.
